Lighting Design

During the initial meeting, our lighting designer discuss your plans and the project in detail with you. The aim of this meeting is to ascertain as much information as possible about the property including furniture layouts, logistics and your specific requirements. The more information provided at this stage, the more it will benefit the installation process and end result.

After our initial meeting, we prepare a full set of lighting plans in CAD format, a specification and detailed quotation, based around our own collection of fittings. This would include all the light fittings, lamps, transformers, drivers and controls. The specification and plans include full technical information of what is required on a room-by-room, circuit-by-circuit basis and will also detail the exact location of all the fittings, the type of lamps, engines and lenses used as well as transformer/driver and control details. It is at this stage that we will also agree any requirements for energy efficiency and how we can meet specific requirements.

We will answer any queries they may have regarding the project. Our designer would be happy to visit site during the first/second fix stage and this would be charged at our normal hourly rate as detailed in any fee proposal. We will ensure that we co-ordinate with the rest of the lighting design team to incorporate changes. Revisions will be charged at the hourly rate for design time and for marking up of the plans.
